Seven years ago, the nonprofit community based collaborative Homework Central was established in order to support and improve the education of the underserved population of North Central San Mateo. Since its inception, more than 400 families have benefited from our program. Thank you to the generous community groups and foundations that have been supporting us as we've grown:

    • Students have shown marked improvement in their reading and math skills.
    • Parents have commented about the improvement in their child's learning and attitude, and have eagerly awaited the opening every year.
    • Tutors have returned year after year because the experience has been extremely rewarding and they know they are making a difference.
    • Students have made significant strides in their academic achievements, as well as increase their self-confidence and self-esteem
